What makes us a Church School?

The children and staff of Whittington Church of England Primary School enjoy a close relationship with our church community within our village parish of St Philip and St James.

Church Workshops

Each class visits the church for a workshop to celebrate a special time of the church year. These workshops involve singing, praise, arts and crafts and time for reflection. The children thoroughly enjoy their time in church and their creations are shared in Church Services and are brought back to school as a souvenir of a very special morning.

Collective Worship and Daily Prayers

We have two whole school collective worship sessions along with weekly class based worship and Songs and Praise sessions.  The children also say daily prayers at lunchtime and at the end of the day to reflect on our core Christian values and events of the day.
