Christmas at Whittington

Our children have been 'unpacking' many aspects of the Christmas story, from our Reception children choosing gifts to give the baby Jesus for his Birthday, to our Year 3 class talking about how they would shine their own light in the world by doing good deeds. The children have also been interpreting Christian art such as 'The Light of the World' by William Holman Hunt in their whole school collective worship, discussing the significance of LIGHT and the goodness it symbolises.

Peace is also an important theme and we live in hope that one day our world can truly be at peace.

Year 4 have been on a virtual pilgrimage to Bethlehem - and have sent postcards home to share what they have been up to!!

Merry Christmas !
