Forgiveness Spring 2019
Forgiveness is the means by which damaged relationships are made new again. It is and act of will, motivated by love. For Christians, Jesus' death on a cross shows God's all forgiving love. His sacrifice stands as a source of inspiration to forgive others, no matter what the cost.
Year 3 have been learning about forgiveness creatively, by 'letting go' of their troubles, allowing themselves to move on. They were fascinated when they held their worries in the palm of their hand (in the form of a vitamin tablet) and watched them slowly fizz away in a cup of water. Just before they dissolved, they rose up to the surface and then disappeared. It was a very positive experience, after which the children said that it made them feel calm and happy.
